Coriander is an annual herb in the family Apiaceae. It is also known as Chinese parsley, Dhania. All parts of Coriander seeds plant are edible but coriander leaves and seeds are the parts most traditionally used in cooking. Coriander seeds are yellowish brown in color and have a pleasing lemony flavor and floral aroma.

Coriander seeds are mostly used in cooking in many different cuisines and also used in making differ kind of masala.
